I find LLMs extremely useful, and I use them extensively - but intentionally in maintaining this site.
Things I don’t use LLMs for
- To Write: The posts you see in this blog are not written by an AI.
Things I use LLMs for
-
Researching blog posts: The references sections that you see in the posts below are almost always a result of the AI finding source material for something I’ve asked it to.
-
Styling and maintaining slashpages - When I have an aesthetic in mind, I get the LLMs to write out the CSS and the HTML template this site runs.
-
Getting feedback on writing - Sometimes (in longer posts) I’d ask LLMs feedback on which parts I should scrap, expand, or rearrange. I find the objective feedback more helpful.
-
Spelling and Grammar - I use a IDE to write this blog. Therefore, it’s easier to use the integrated coding agent to fix spelling and grammar.
